Lion - Should I upgrade?

First and foremost, I'd like to say that we almost always have 2 rules when it comes to major OS releases.

One, if it ain't broke...don't fix it.
Is everything on your system buzzing right along as it should?  Why risk disrupting that?  Have you verified that your applications are all Lion compatible?  How about driver availability for printers, scanners, and other periphials.  If your system is running optimally, and if you're not absolutely dying for some of the new features in Lion then I would suggest holding out a bit.

Which brings us to....

Two, at least wait until version 10.7.3.   This has always been our rule with a new OS.  New releases are full of bugs, no batter how crazy good Apple is.  It's just a part of software development.  Thousands of beta testers never hold a candle to the millions of users who immediately begin using a new OS.  Problems are found...and gradually fixed one update at a time.  Typcially, a dot 3 update is usually where things begin to become reliable enough to take the plunge.

When you DO decide it's time, we'd be happy to help you upgrade.  Feel free to give us a call at (210) 767-3303 or email support@macitsolutions.com to schedule an appointment!
